Comments:

Lots of wonderful information on your site. I especially appreciate the old photos.

I am looking for any history of Frank (B. c1812)and Elizabeth Wallis (B. c 1822) who lived in “The Croft” I think Frank’s parents were William and Ann.
I have found them in the 1851 census, and others, including “Wallace” who might be related. F and E’s children were Elizabeth, William, Thomas, Mary, Charles.
Thank you. Diana

Thank you for your reply Phil. Thanks to the batch numbers supplied by your site, I have tracked down as many B,M,D as I can. I was wondering if anyone had written more about the lives of people who lived in Thurlaston the 18 and early-mid 19 Century. Thanks again. Diana

The only book I know of is:

The History Of Thurlaston, Leicestershire: Including Normanton Turville, New Hall Park, And Bassett House (1904) by John Ordish Hulme ISBN 1104393859

I believe that it may be available on Amazon.com
