First established in 1833 by the rector of Thurlaston and in a building erected in 1853; Thurlaston Church of England Primary School is now a voluntary aided school supported by LEA and the Diocese of Leicester.
A combination of traditional and modern teaching methods give a grounding in basic skills within a broad, Christian based, educational experience.
The school, which is an eco-school, offers places to children aged 5 - 11 years with preference given to those living in the ecclesiastical parish of Thurlaston.

Brockington College, Mill Lane, Enderby serves as the high school for the majority of children, from Thurlaston, when they move from Thurlaston Primary School.
