Thurlaston Church of England Primary School

Thurlaston Church of England Primary School“Thurlaston Church of England (Aided) Primary School is the catchment school for the village of Thurlaston and surrounding areas. Many parents of children out of catchment choose our school for its Christian Ethos. We are privileged to be a small school in a rural community where we have a close-knit family atmosphere. We value greatly our Christian ethos and the experiences we offer to our children.”

First established in 1833 by the rector of Thurlaston and in a building erected in 1853; Thurlaston Church of England Primary School is now a voluntary aided school supported by LEA and the Diocese of Leicester.

A combination of traditional and modern teaching methods give a grounding in basic skills within a broad, Christian based, educational experience.

The school, which is an eco-school, offers places to children aged 5 - 11 years with preference given to those living in the ecclesiastical parish of Thurlaston.

The head, Gavin Beetham, can be contacted on 01455 888 243.
